"L.A.P.D". - Los Angeles Police Dummy?

This one posting by TMZ has bothered me for quite some time, so I decided to finally post about it to see what everyone thinks.

Back in February, TMZ photographed an "officer" who was sitting in a car near Dr. Murray's girlfriend's residence.
They said the officer didn't say much. Here is the article:

The "officer" looks very plastic-like, and is just blankly staring. So I decided to zoom in a bit. Here is his face:

Look at the hard ridges under his eyes, and above the cheek bone. The hair is also odd, and the mouth doesn't appear like it could open.
I also zoomed in on the left arm, which also looked odd:
Doesn't it bend in an odd way? The shape is odd - a little too thin and curved. The watch seems too high up near the hand. Also the whole arm has a plastic look to it.

What do you think? And if it is really a dummy they have photographed, what are they trying to say? Why would a real police officer, who is trying to be discreet, sit so still while photographers were taking photos of him and the contents of his police car?

While pondering that, check out this interesting video:

Ushering In A New Era of Directing?

We've seen this famous image of MJ "directing" during the Liberian Girl video:

We've also thought it was interesting how the dancers/funeral ushers were posing next to an image relating to Liberian Girl at the funeral:

To add to our "what a wacky coincidence" file, below is a rare image of MJ in a similar type of military cadet jacket as our dancing ushers above...and what is he doing? "Directing" behind a camera!

This image can be found in the below video, which contains many "rare" and interesting MJ photos:

UPDATE: Courtesy of "Iloveyoumore", below is footage of the funeral, set to the tune of "Liberian Girl". (Does Kenny O. ever sit down during this?)

Per Cirque CEO, MJ "Returns To The Stage"

In a recent interview Cirque Du Soleil CEO Daniel Lamarre states that MJ will "return to the stage".

Take a look:

He says there will be no Michael Jackson impersonators. "No one can do it the way he was doing it", he said. "Plus, if you're a true Michael Jackson fan, that's him..you want to see him. and that's the challenge, we want to have his presence, a strong presence., on stage like you've never seen before."

MJ as you've never seen before..where have we heard that?

Could a hologram be the answer?

UPDATE: Credit to _Xscape_ for the below find.  In the below Associated Press Article, it says "Daniel's creative team is already looking at "This Is It" dress rehearsals to use in the shows".

This raises a few questions:
1. Doesn't Sony own all of the rehearsal footage now? (they paid millions for it)
2. There were full dress rehearsals that exist that weren't shown in the film, but now can be used for this?
3. If there weren't full dress rehearsals, why would they show unfinished "rehearsal" footage when Cirque Du Soleil wants to put on a show to MJ's expectations?

What is this footage Cirque Du Soleil was looking at, and who was showing it to them?

The Invisible Man

When looking for oddities in this investigation, our friends at TMZ give us a lot to ponder - if anything for the interesting and somewhat eerie coincidences. Take for example, this article that was posted almost a year ago on April 22, 2009 where TMZ says that "the rest of Michael Jackson is well on its way to vanishing too" and "it's a thriller, right?":

I did some research on the movie that is being referenced in the article, and thought the poster for the film was interesting as it shows a "green man" with sunglasses. Now where have we seen a green man before?

Just another "wacky" coincidence....

UPDATE #1: Looks like MJ might have had a little fun with the "Invisible Man" character in the past; (credit to "MSMJFANFOREVER" and "mykidsmum"):

See the disguise in the second half of this video: :

UPDATE #2  In the comments below, annabel said...
"Claude Rains also played the Phantom in a really crappy version of Phantom of the Opera"

Interestingly enough, in another article, MJ was referred to as the "Phantom of the Clinic":

MJ's Influence in Ads, Real or Imagined?

Previously we had posted an "Open Happiness" commercial that was produced by Coca-Cola that contained many "MJ-related" themes, and we wondered if there could be some type of connection.
While researching, I stumbled across this ad for the 2010 Toyota Prius, which came out in May 2009:

This one also had many themes that we tie back to MJ - nature, butterflies, tinkerbell-like fairies, children emerging from flowers, similar to the waking sleepyhead Wizard of Oz "munchkins" emerging out of flowers, "armies" of people, etc.

But I had hesitated posting because I didn't see enough of a connection.

Turns out that the song being song in the commercial is "Let Your Love Flow", by Petra Haden. Interestingly enough, Petra Haden, did a cover of "Thriller":

Hmm..a little more of a connection now. Perhaps a coincidence.

Then while browsing images from This Is It, something caught my eye in the below shot (click to enlarge):

You can see the word "Toyota" in the background.

Pure coincidence, or could of MJ had an interest in "short films" to be designed for commercials and did, or was planning to work with various sponsors?

Bit o' trivia: AEG owns the "Toyota Sports Center"

UPDATE: The readers have discovered even more of a connection - Here is an article about MJ getting into a Prius limo. Interestingly enough, this article links to another about Coca-Cola adding 120 hybrid trucks to their feet.

Connect The Dots, Part Two: make.believe

There has been some discussion regarding similiarities in Sony's "make.believe" commercials, and how they tie into Michael Jackson related projects such as "Moonwalker".
The print ads continue these similarities; most notably to the This Is It film.

This first ad shows a city scene that is very reminiscent to the Smooth Criminal backdrop in This Is It:

This Is It Smooth Criminal Scene:

Sony "make.believe" ad:

Then we have a similarity between the beginning of the "Earth Song" short and another "make.believe" ad. The beginning of Earth Song shows the sun rising above the Earth:

A Sony make.believe ad captures an almost identical image:

So to "connect the dots", perhaps we should look at the overall theme with Sony's new campaign in that the "dot" connects what you can imagine, to what is reality. When Sony announced that "make.believe" campaign, they released the following diagram:

So the dot connects ideas, and we have seen that as a recurring theme. From TMZ's articles referring to "connecting the dots", to the "FOOL" spelled out when "connecting the dots" in that News of The World article about Dr. Murray, to what may be the ultimate theme in this...

We as individuals are single small "dots" in the scope of humanity, but together, when connected for a higher purpose, can make dreams become reality:

Connect The Dots - It's all for L.O.V.E.

A Wacky Coincidence...

This is most likely a wacky coincidence..but in any event, thought it was interesting!

This past weekend I had uploaded an image to Twitpic, just to have a little fun - remember those "Wacky Packages" stickers from the 70's?

Here is the tweet:

And this was the image:

Then on Monday, look what word TMZ uses in their post - Wacky!

It just made me chuckle a bit...

By the way, if you read through the article, where is the 7th claim? They only mention 6. Oh well, it's a wacky article anyway... :)

"Red Casket"..Not Necessarily Referring To A Coffin

So TMZ is reporting that Michael was transported in a "red casket". Well, that can mean a couple of things.

For example, there is a clothing line called "Evolve or Vanish". In fact, they make this T-Shirt called "Charged with Fraud-Red Casket":

The title of the shirt also reminds me, coincidentally, of this CNN headline:

You can find the T-shirt here:
http://www.hauseofhoweclothing.com/c-t-shirts-evolve.html

Note: This shirt also comes in just "black" if you are uncomfortable being in "red casket".

It's All A Mystery, At TMZ

It's all been a mystery - the doctor's appointments, the body, the time of death, the burial...
Every aspect of this continuing investigation has been a mystery, and TMZ agrees. And it appears that every time they use the word "Mystery" in the title of an article, there is curious verbiage that goes along with it.

First, let's travel back to before June 25th, to one of TMZ's postings about one of MJ's doctor's appointments:

This was at the same time that TMZ caught MJ saying that he will be touring with the Jackson 5.

Then we have the mysteries of the location of MJ's body - it's all just a "puzzle":

Like the above article, the next one posted the same day, which talks about the mystery burial, also contains verbiage of MJ not going to Forest Lawn and there being a "decoy":

Then the time of death is also called a "mystery":

Note that they said that Murray's account of the incident seemed "scripted".

Then we have a "mystery" date.

January 18th was Martin Luther King day (which was uneventful), but TMZ suggested it was "a clue"... clue for what?

Yes, it all has been a mystery. Including this posting from May, where TMZ makes a point of calling Michael Jackson a "mortal"...hmm...

But the above brings up another mystery.. before June 25th, TMZ ran several articles about MJ being "human"...from the "human" arm above to the following:

This next one was interesting because of the two definitions of the word "Pachyderm". Below is the article snippet and the two definitions that I have added:

Michael had told Geraldo he had "rhinocerous skin" on Geraldo, so it was interesting that TMZ alluded to this..

Why the overuse of the word "human" in early 2009? Was it a mock to say he was human? Or is it symbolic in some way? Even Dave Dave had commented that "what people fail to realize is that Michael was a human being".

What we have realized is that there is more to the story than meets the eye...

UPDATE: minutes after I posted this, I saw that TMZ posted another "mystery" article..this time with a poll asking if MJ is still alive!

Behind The Curtain - O2 Camera Man

I always enjoy viewing the photos and videos that the blog readers send in, especially when it comes to looking for new things in previously discussed topics. Credit goes to DreamChild777 for sending me this photo of from the O2 conference.

In this shot you can clearly see the camera man behind the curtain.

And who is this guy? His sleeve at the wrist seems to have a curious white border. His hand is exposed but his face is hidden behind the curtain. Why so secret? And why film so low to the ground and at MJ's back? When you zoom in on the camera, it is pointing slightly up, so it doesn't appear that it was used to capture the crowd directly in front of MJ - the angle seems off.

Has anyone seen any images/video that could have been taken from this camera?

"This Is It" Debuts on TMZ December 2008?

Could this be the start of the odd TMZ articles relating to "This Is It"? Below is a screen shot of an article that talks about how Pat Harrington, Jr. "resurfaced" at an event in Los Angeles. He had played Dwayne Schneider in the 70's sitcom "One Day At A Time".

It then goes on to show images of other people who haven't been seen in a long time, under the title "memba them" ("remember them").

Why would the article be entitled "This Is It"? The One Day At A Time theme song does begin with the line "This Is It", and perhaps gave them a reason to list that as the article's title, but still, does it make sense?

Fast forward to June 2, 2009. In this posting TMZ says that "Michael told us yesterday" that he was going to do a concert with the Jackson 5 in 2010.

So Michael Jackson was communicating directly with TMZ in June 2009 but was the extent of it just random quotes given to the TMZ Paps as he left the doctor's office or was there more to it? How far back did this all begin? Note the photograph of MJ hiding a smile is one of TMZ's own, and it's with a blue screen background. This is what makes it appear that there could be more to the story....

TMZ Throws Out Photos, But We Recycle

Yesterday we posted about TMZ's Coca-Cola theme. One curious aspect of this is that they switched the original photo that was in the article. The first time they posted the article, it was the image you see to the left. Later, they switched the photo:

We couldn't find significance in this alone, but then the realization came that the original photo could have an interesting use and decided to "recycle" it in a sense.

It has been a while since we did a Dave Dave comparison, and the original photo seemed like it could fit the bill. So for fun here is a comparison.

First, Dave Dave and the original TMZ photo of MJ:

Next an overlay of each side of MJ's face over Dave Dave, with slight adjustments for angle:

Whether or not you believe that MJ portrayed Dave Dave on Larry King Live, these comparisons always turn out uncanny!

The Coke Connection: AEG

So we have seen TMZ post a rather crazy article regarding Michael Jackson's "Coke" addiction leading to his insomina and demands for Propofol:

Then, the Coca-Cola theme continues when the following images are released of Conrad Murray walking with his lawyer discussing "strategy", over a Coke:

Notice the Coca-Cola cup as well as the umbrella!

But why all of these Coca-Cola references? We joke about it being product placement, but is it REALLY just a joke? Check this out!! (click to enlarge)

In January 2009 Coca-Cola signed a sponsorship deal with AEG for the O2 arena!!

UPDATE: We received a tip from Bernadette aka "Detje" of this interesting video from Indonesia which is part of Coca-Cola's "Open Happiness" campaign. Check out the butterflies, bunnies, magic, and "Neverland-like" theme:

MJ's Handwritten Thoughts From 2009

A month before his "death" on June 25th, 2009, Michael Jackson signed many personal items to be later sold off for charity. An executive in the entertainment industry who had worked with Michael for 17 years had personally obtained these unique pieces from Michael, and is putting them up for sale.
A listing of all of the pieces can be found here:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/isettaflower/sets/72157622957203117/

Most interesting are the items for which Michael included a handwritten quote. These notes can give us insight to Michael's mindset shortly before his passing.

On this first note, he quotes a Japanese Hiaku poet named Matsuo Basho. The text reads, "Fallen sick on a journey, my dreams wander, over a withered moor"

Was Michael contemplating the future of life's journey, feeling fallen, but yet the dreams were still alive? This was Basho's last hiaku recorded before his passing, and was believed to be his "final farewell" while he was on his deathbed. Did Michael use this as a way to say "farewell" too?

This next piece offers a glimpse of hope. On it Michael writes, "He alone is great who by a life heroic conquers fate" This is a direct quote from Sarah Knowles Bolton, from a poem called "The Inevitable".

The full text of the poem "The Inevitable" is:

I like the man who faces what he must
With step triumphant and a heart of cheer;
Who fights the daily battle without fear;
Sees his hopes fail, yet keeps unfaltering trust
That God is God,—that somehow, true and just
His plans work out for mortals; not a tear
Is shed when fortune, which the world holds dear,
Falls from his grasp—better, with love, a crust
Than living in dishonor; envies not,
Nor loses faith in man; but does his best,
Nor ever murmurs at his humbler lot;
But, with a smile and words of hope, gives zest
To every toiler. He alone is great
Who by a life heroic conquers fate.

The above poem symbolizes that God has a plan for each of us, and honors the man who despite his fate in this mortal life, continues to love and overcome the hardships.
Here Michael may have realized that there could be danger, and he was "Fated", but the hero within battles this, with hopes to conquer any demons that may cross his path.

That takes us to this next piece:

In this one Michael quotes the bible and says "Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life". Michael may be implying that we can often carry a heavy heart, carrying life's burdens.

But in the end there is love in his heart, as expressed in this last piece:

In this it appears that he may be speaking to God, or perhaps his fans in general, when he includes lyrics from "I Can't Stop Loving You" in this next note: "Each time the wind blows I hear your voice, so I call your name. This time is forever, love is forever". A month before his passing, has Michael proclaimed his devotion to all, and stated that regardless of his fate, he knows that love is what truly lasts in the end?
